Luhya Portal was born out of a shared passion to ensure the history, news, and rich cultural heritage of the Mulembe Nation are never lost to time. For generations, the stories, clan lineages, and traditions of Western Kenya were passed down purely through oral history. As our world digitizes and our global diaspora expands, the need for a central, permanent digital archive became clear.

What started as a vision to document family lineages across Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, Busia, and Trans Nzoia quickly grew into a comprehensive platform. Today, Luhya Portal serves as a unified digital home—combining real-time regional news reporting with an interactive repository of sub-tribe histories, clan roots, and cultural traditions.
